Hewett & Lovitt is a boutique West Perth law firm which  was established in 2005 by John Hewett and Brian Lovitt, both of whom were previously  partners together in a larger legal partnership. The approach of Hewett & Lovitt is to provide high quality legal services in a friendly,  unpretentious and cost effective manner.

Hewett & Lovitt is an incorporated legal practice and, following the retirement of John Hewett on 30 June 2021,  it is managed by Brian Lovitt. Its services are provided by its director, other employed solicitors and law clerks.

Hewett & Lovitt embraces the efficiencies made possible by the information technology era, and makes optimum use of computer systems for legal research, document preparation and communication with clients.

The clientele of the practice is predominantly small to medium sized business enterprises and high net worth individuals. Hewett & Lovitt is equipped to directly service the majority of its clients’  legal requirements, and has a strong network of alliances with other lawyers and professional advisers for referral of cases when required.

The practice’s clients include other professional service providers, wine producers, purchasing and supply co-operatives, engineering and construction firms, property owners and developers, processing and manufacturing businesses, retailers and providers of consumer services, software firms, and technology developers.

Brian Lovitt is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and is also a chartered accountant.  Prior to establishing Hewett & Lovitt he has worked in top tier accounting and law firms. He practises in commercial law, including estate planning, and specialises in all aspects of direct and indirect taxation including: CGT income tax stamp duty GST payroll tax and other state duties
	Christine Lovitt is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and practised law in a general commercial practice in Ireland before moving to Western Australia in 1988, when she joined boutique law firm Blakiston & Crabb. She became a partner of that firm in 1998 and practised in the areas of estate planning, probate, commercial and resources law. When that firm integrated with Gilbert + Tobin in 2011 she was appointed special counsel. She joined Hewett & Lovitt as special counsel in 2014. Christine practises in the areas of: estate planning probate commercial: leasing licensing terms of trade land access: cultural heritage native title mining and energy
Raymond Leclezio has practised law for approximately 20 years, having graduated from the University of Western Australia. Following graduation, he completed his articles before being employed as a solicitor and associate at a well regarded Perth law firm for a period of approximately 15 years focusing primarily in general litigation. He commenced employment with Hewett & Lovitt in 2006, and his areas of practice include: employment law contractual disputes commercial litigation insurance disputes debt recovery

	Pamela is Hewett & Lovitt’s experienced law clerk. Pamela has worked with the legal profession for twenty years.
