Terms of Engagement

Subject to any special written arrangements that we may enter with a particular client, we act for our clients on the basis of the standard terms of engagement referred to above. We reserve the right to amend our standard terms from time to time on reasonable notice.

 Billing arrangements are:

• Accounts are sent monthly, or on reaching a “milestone”.
• The size of the account is determined by the time spent (unless the matter is a standard fee, or the fee has been agreed in advance). Time costing is in 1 minute units.
• Our hourly rates for time costings are available upon request, and vary according to the seniority and experience of our personnel.
• Set fees apply for standard documentation, and are available upon request.
• Actual disbursements (e.g. stamp duty, Titles Office fees, couriers) will be charged.
• Most internal costs (e.g. copying, postage, telephone) will be absorbed, unless such costs are unusually large.
• Accounts are payable within 14 days of invoice.
• Our billing practices are governed by the Legal Profession Regulations 2009.
